Sell Windsurfing Gear? Wanna shift 48.8 Units-per-Issue?
I'm super thankful to all of you that read and share Windsurfer International Magazine. I love putting it together so much and am grateful for the support of the early and repeat sponsors who've helped make it happen.
Next Steps
After only concentrating on content so far, the plan now's to take the mag further forward...
And I'm hoping that now the reader experience's proven and popular, to host some more ads that interest readers and using that revenue to develop it even more. (Watch this space for more exciting news soon anyway! Like, really really exciting...)Word of Mouth
I wanted to share some observations and figures and ask for your help in spreading the news of this great opportunity to your contacts who may want to connect with such a dedicated, eco-friendly audience to grow their business.
So if you know of products that might interest other readers then I'd be stoked if you could mention or pass on our magazine. Thanks!
General Stats
- 94,308 Visits from 114 Countries
- 1,890,500 Page Flips / 3,781,000 Pageviews
- All-time avg. visitor spends 11 min 35 sec making 20 Pages Flips / 40 pageviews
I took an average of all pages in all positions from all issues and worked out that if just 1% of readers on any page bought a product as a result of seeing an ad you'd make 48.8 sales per issue!
Yes. Over 11 issues a year that's 536.8 Sails or Boards or Wetsuits or Vacations or Swimsuits or Sunglasses or Harnesses or Seat Covers or T-Shirts or Booms or Fins or Cars or Boardbags...
If you think you could do with a boost like that to your business then please drop me a line for details! The smart brands you see repeat booking only spend cash wisely and where it scores results.
Dream Dream Dream
As you'll know, WI is different to a web page where you hunt information fast and leave - if you're news hungry then there's no time to view ads here on Beach Telegraph!
But maybe you'll agree with the feedback we're getting that WI Readers take time to sit back, maybe with a coffee or a beer, to relax and view features in a set sequence and are motivated and dreaming of windsurfing and hungry for new toys by the time they log-off!?
And if you check the survey to the right of this page you'll see that about 70% of readers are planning to spend cash on new gear and travel this year!
Benefits
- Ads are live for minimum 12 Months and longer for active accounts
- Big Real-Estate Size for Powerful Brand Image Messaging
- Reach a Global Audience for the Cost of just One Page
- Interactive Engaging Multimedia Platform
- Eco-Friendly Digital Format
- Target big numbers in smaller markets
- Powerful Web Stats Backup
- Interactive Ads average over 40 seconds per visit
- Update pages in Back Issues for current offers/product
- Exclusive individually designed Features Content - no Recycled Web News
- Strong Social Media Integration
If you design an Ad well (we can help you optimize and tweak it for success) you can expect heaps of qualified high-quality clicks too. I.e., visitors who've spent nearly a minute seeing your presentation and then following a link to a specific product page - not necessarily just your brand's homepage.
Smart interactive ads achieve CTRs of around 10-15% and even higher dependant on design and position - plus 'flat' ads still achieve around 5%.
Value
If budget's tight but you still need to move units then I'd suggest taking one of these ads as effectively they're 'free' and pay for themselves once you convert these dedicated eyeballs into sales.
If you can't then maybe we can help you tune your ad messaging to highlight the value in your products to readers?
Remember just 1% converted to sales equals 48.8 units sold! Can you afford not to try?
as a reader, it's nice not to have too many ads. i know you need it, but consider the reader at all times, please. otherwise it's just another mag we won't read
