The Starboard Pro Kids freestyle champs are confirmed already for the 22-27th June in Palau, near Porto Pollo on the island of Sardinia, Italy. You can see more about the competition and how to enter at the Freestyle Pro Kids website.
'Waveriders', an Irish surfing film has been nominated for several awards and premieres at the Santa Barbara Film Festival later this month.
Cabo Verde is also gearing-up for next month's event with improved infrastructure at the Ponta Preta Event HQ.
Local legend Josh Angulo said, "This year's comp should be a big surprise to everyone. The country has really come together and built a solid team to create a very festive atmosphere that will include an activities tent with international and national live music and DJs nightly, traditional food, drinks and the national beach football championships.
On top of that we’ve had our windiest winter season to-date and some good swells so everything is on track for a successful contest."
You can find out more at the new Cabo Verde World Cup event website.
