Irish Speed record holder John Kenny recorded the 'fastest 500m time ever done on Irish waters by any sail powered craft with a speed of 39.15 knots this weekend - and that was under powered on a Severne 5.6 Code Red. Dungarvan looks like it has a lot more to offer...'
John discovered the Speed World Cup event site at Dungarvan, which was then organized by Martin Waldron who has since announced 5 dates for Speed events in 2009, and an Irish GPS Speed ladder.
