Hope you had a great weekend. Here's the news. GP's got a bug from his trip but took some shots at Ho'okipa including Levi Siver on his new Goya Sails.
MauiWindsurfing have even more shots of Levi here. Thanks to Makani for those.
(Rumors of Levi leaving Pryde were first reported here on Nov 18th).
Mark (ex_H-13), from forum.windsurfing.nl (Dutch) tipped us off that Karin Jaggi is set to switch from North Sails to either MauiSails or Severne. As seen at the German language Surf Forum. Thanks Mark for the heads-up.
Kevin Pritchard needs help.
Starboard boss Svein Rasmussen is set to give us an update on unrest around the Cobra board factory early this week.
According to the Angulo Blog, 2009 got off to a great start in Cabo Verde.
Andy Radley wants you to check out his latest 'Matrix-Style' movie clip.
Timo Mullen arived home in Ireland from Cape Town and had to literally break ice to get on the water.
"I celebrated the New Year with an amazing SUP sesh at a pretty hollow break in County Sligo,on the West Coast of Ireland.
The swell was forecast to be pretty clean at 10feet @ 15 seconds - the extra period really makes this spot barrel.
It looked pretty small when i rocked up so I went out on my Starboard 9'0" SUP and I'm glad I did as the wave was pretty fast and even the real good local [prone] surfers were struggling to make any of the sections.
It was the perfect size for this spot, as if it gets any bigger it turns into an Irish Chopes!
Air temp was only about 2 degrees celcius - enough to freeze over the rock pools on the walk down to the break!
Looks like amazing swell all week here if you can handle the low temperature..."
Timo's brother Tam braved the cold to take the pics. Thanks Tam. Here's the rest of his snaps.
