Back on the case after a daytrip to NorthWest Ireland yesterday with young Mikey Clancey.
I struggled to make turns in the 40+ knots conditions. No problem for young Mikey though.
He threw down goyters and went for cheeky fins-free snaps under some heaving sections - and even launched into a few takas. Damned reckless kids!
Hopefully he'll have some more film and pics to be salvaged from the murky grey conditions after the weekend...he's still up there gorging himself on the wild Atlantic smorgasbord.
Here's Mikey and I emerging from the gloom
Windsurf Journal report some rumors of riders trying out new sails. Might just be some regular 'Try the Competition's stuff out' testing. But you never know.
WSJ also report that Cyril Moussilmani, Speed Sailing Champion and PWA racer and wave sailor has filled the sizeable gap left by his countryman Antoine Albeau at Starboard.
John Skye made the front cover of the Jan/Feb issue of Boards magazine
I love this bit of old-skool by the new-skool at C7.
Atlantic Paddle Surfing saw Santa out SUPing. Didn't see Rudolph get wet.
Simmer posted a great sequence of Niklas Stråhlén shot from a helicopter. (Not with a gun. By camera)
Boardseeker host the Jump-Off vote.
U-Ride heard of a nice looking sesh in France...and link to a nice clip of Andre Martinez in Maui too. (Top left).
Check out all the fines for the naughty boys and girls on the Speed Tour. Tut tut. Don't complain that there's no sponsorship when you don't show courtesy and rock up to the the official events now all you pros...especially the world Champion!
The PWA focused on Kevin Pritchard's annual board-testing trip to Thailand and Vietnam. Hopefully Kev's Blog'll have some shots for us in the coming days.
Finian Maynard's breathing a sigh of relief. His contract renogotiations at Neil Pryde have gone well and the former World Speed record holder has signed a deal 'for the 2009 season'.
Staying on RRD, the massive Virgin Islander hopes to disrupt any plans Dunkerbeck, Pritchard or Albeau have in dominating the Salom series.
I put a new poll to the left asking your views on print magazines - so please vote. I put the PWA results on the Polls page. Thanks for your feedback.
More Later. Please link to anything else hot in the comments section below. Thanks.

Hi Rossi. The number's are not big. The last poll only had 500 votes. I guess this is enough of a representative sample but the usefulness of the poll is more dependant on the questions I guess? What do you think? How is The Tricktionary going? Will there be a third edition? Please let the readers know of any news. Thanks.
