We have an official response regarding 3x Freestyle Windsurfing World Champ Ricardo Campello's (pictured) rumored axing from Team JP Australia.
JP Brand Manager Martin Brandner, as featured by my good self in the feature 'Zeitgeist' in the November/December issue of Boards magazine, gives us the facts 'from the horses mouth.'
'We're still in talks and nothing is decided yet' responded JP's Head Honcho. And the other murmurings floating around seem to be true too -that JP are expected to sign another "big name" rider in the New Year.
Speculation on the status of rider such as Campello is not unusual at this time of year. Team rider contracts tend to run Jan-Dec and a Christmas seasonal flurry of activity is bound to snowball in the coming Weeks.
Surely this poses some question marks over Micah Buzianis' status within team JP? Please leave a comment below if you happen to know!
Martin Brandner also mentioned to 'look out for a sick Kauli Seadi video which will be
attached to several international mags in early 2009.'
We're also hearing talk that RRD are set to sign talented young wave sailor and freestyle Florian Jung who's been left out in the cold after the departure of HiFly from the marketplace. Thanks to Jem Hall for the tip off.
RRD have been busy with French rider Yann Sorlut also making up the numbers, whilst their lead wave sailor Jon Skye has been working hard out in Maui on the new RRD boards with his new boss, Roberto Ricci and shaper, Aurelio Verdi.
Star Maui Blogger GP has part 5 of the video of how his Kazuma board was shaped along with a little debate on surf etiquette.
Next up, Continentseven.com have a link for young Aussie ripper Jaeger Stone's 'Wizard of Oz' movie due out from Severne sails.
Finally. Check out SUP Global's video of Ivan van Vuuren SUPing J Bay,
