Snippets of salty news for you after a sweep of the online surfing scene.

SUP Global give you some valuable dietary advice - especially regarding Carb intake before you hit the water.
Pro windsurfer Jonas Ceballos has a couple more snaps of the sweet south swell day at Arinaga we mentioned yesterday. Also, make sure you check out his other post about the Shark found at Pozo and post some comments asking him to keep up the good work and to publish more pictures please!

There could be Kona winds at the end of this week on Maui so look out for some pictures of all the North Shore crew enjoying some solid sized swell and typically gusty breeze.
Anyone warm and toasty in Maui should spare a thought for the hardy surfers of the UK's East Coast.
Speaking of Snow, I was thinking of the Mt. Hood area in Oregon. I'd like to write a piece on the Gorge Windsurfing scene. Who are the main riders there? What's the scene like? Why should we go there? Anyone got any funny stories from the place? I went there one Spring 10 years ago and I'm keen to find out what it's like these days and tell the world all about it. That's if it's not a big old secret of course...
I remember that, with such unusual conditions, it was always a tad specialist with really funky custom equipment. Wouldn't it be great to see a PWA event there again? Where are all the legends like Bruce Peterson these days? Where should you stay? Is it an expensive place to take a vacation? Do they still sell Scorpion Bowls ? (A lethal drink served in a giant clam shell in some dingy backroom bar). Where's the best places to eat?
I've seen some great freestyle action videos from there in recent seasons. (Actually, Windsurfing mag just posted a new one from last Summer on their homepage today). Are these guys locals or visitors? Do heaps of Canadians still hit the place to sail and party? And, when the place is in Ski town mode mid-winter, is there any sailing at all? Questions questions questions, all demanding some answers. Please.
Whether you had a chance to read my 'Off the Record' post yesterday, check out one of the comments at the end from a refreshingly brave and bold leading industry figure. What d'ya reckon? Your comments are welcome as ever.
The Peconic Puffin posted a clip of a ridiculous new freestyle trick. Follow his tip and skip to 1 minute 14 seconds.
Sources on Maui say that despite Windsurfing World Speed record holder Antoine Albeau being on the island, an influx of Kiters there for photoshoots are gloating over their record finally being recognised by the WSSRC.
Personally I'm still confused about the ruling and whether ISAF actually endorse it or not, (Is the WSSRC part of ISAF?), but most of the windsurfing pros seem to agree that they were a bit harsh on our string-dangling cousins.
