It's hard to find details of the 2010 Maui race Series online, but this weekend it's the 2010 NeilPryde  State Championships at Kanaha. 

I heard a rumour about free beer and food but otherwise there's a new organic food van to help you refuel at Kanaha Beach Park - Aloha Grinds!

The Lord Giveth, and The Lord Taketh Away

Bad news from the PWA: 'Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances, outside of the control of the PWA or the Organizers, the planned Bosphorus Invitational Race in Istanbul has had to be cancelled.'

The good news is that the 25th PWA Fuerteventura Grand Slam is still on and that there may be a Grand Finale to the Wave Tour around November in...Cabo Verde!

I'm with Chachi, and, as much as I love racing too, I'm tired of seeing Freestyle, the most cutting-edge of our sport, treated as a Second Class Citizen by event organizers. 

Here's another view and wrap-up from the Race-heavy US Nationals. 

Let's hope we get more chances to showcase the sport to more youngsters using Freestyle.

Chachi's crew did get another Expression Session fired-off on down on 'The Delta' in-the-end.

Congratulations to 'Lost in Hatteras' Blogger Andy who got married recently, on the beach of course, and sailed the next day with his new wife Anne. 

Mr. and Mrs. McKinney are heading over to Ireland soon on their Honeymoon so I hope they bring some classic Hateras Hurricane swell with them to enjoy some Emerald Gems. Speaking of which...

Go Andre Go

Philip Koester takes out the German Windsurfing Cup in Sylt. 

Congratulations to Philip, although everyone would agree the best news is that Andre Paskowski competed after recently undergoing Chemotherapy and placed 3rd behind Klaas Voget!

Kauli Seadi sent in an update that’s gonna get you all booking flights immediately…

“Between the 20th July to 24th July we had the South American Championships in Peru at a spot called Lobitos.

I was very surprised with the amount of windsurfers that came from 5 countries to take part.

I'm super impressed how consistent the wave-riding conditions have been.  

The place is just a machine of conditions…perfect long waves and side-offshore winds blowing around 20 knots everyday.

I'm staying on for a few days extra to film some action with UMI Pictures.  It's amazing that there’s bay after bay with good waves and wind.”

Here's a quick flick of Timo Mullen at home in NW Ireland. 

The Ulsterman said 'This was easily the best day of the summer so far in Ireland. Normally the reefs are firing on this size swell but the way the tides were made the hollow beachbreaks the place to be. 

I sailed four days in a row ofcross off perfection!  We made the most of the weather by camping out - the West Aussies would have loved it!  

Really stoked with the new 82 IQ Quad. I can simply point the board where I want it to go and everything else just happens - Point & Shoot windsurfing - the board's just so easy to sail!'
