Earlier we reported that Ulster's Finn Mullen, who won the 2009 Irish Wavesailing Title with a broken foot and also sustained a serious shoulder injury during the final, yesterday sprung straight back into action by sailing JAWS after spending most of the winter recuperating.
Finn wrote in to tell us about the session with the link to this slideshow by Dan Rayburn.
'You were right on the lack of sailing...I arrived Monday afternoon so had a quick sesh in mast high Ho'okipa to check all systems were working after over 5-months of no down-the-line!
It was a bit sketchy but I've basically spent the winter in bed and they want me for surgery soon and a long lay-off afterwards for recovery, so I needed to do something before my brain melted !'
